Our History

Living Hope Church (A Wesleyan Church) opened its doors in 2003. At that time, Grace Point Church (Brookings, SD) and Linwood Church (Sioux Falls, SD) had a handful of families from the Madison area attending their churches.

Those from Madison attending Grace Point began to meet and pray that God would bring fruition to their vision and help them to begin a new church. As His timing began to unfold, God's hand of blessing was evident. Shortly afterward, a Bible study was formed that met bi-monthly. God blessed this small midweek group with additional people, unity, and a spirit of expectant faith. After a short time, the group felt God's calling to move forward with planting a new church.

As needs in many areas became apparent, God was faithful to provide. By the summer of 2003 a decision was made to hold public worship.  On September 7th, 2003, the first worship gathering took place. Since these beginning stages, Living Hope continues to move forward one step at a time, discovering more and more about God's purpose for them as He continues to answer critical prayers and work in ways that only He could.
