Our Name

LIVING HOPE comes from 1st Peter 1:3, "In God's great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade." No matter what happens in the world around us, Christ-followers can rest secure knowing they will spend eternity with Him in heaven.

The WESLEYAN Church (www.wesleyan.org) originally comes out of the protestant reformation movement. John Wesley, the man whose work later influenced the founding of the Wesleyan church, laid out four great biblical truths the church still holds today; salvation is provided for all people and for all sin, certified by the Holy Spirit and received by faith. Our commitment is to Jesus Christ and the Great Commission [Matt. 28:19-20].

The CHURCH is formally "born" in Acts 2 as a result of an explosion of the Spirit on a celebrated holiday called Pentecost. The word "church" means "called out ones," and refers not to a building or location, but rather the collective group of people who believe in and follow Jesus Christ. You'll notice we have the same last name as a Baptist Church, a Methodist Church, a Presbyterian Church, a Catholic Church and anyone who believes in Jesus Christ.
